About Ebony Farashuu
Ebony Farashuu is an award-winning author and owner of Metamorphosis Ink Publishing, LLC.
In 2007, Ebony released her first novel, Slow Burn, via Kobalt Books and Entertainment. Slow Burn earned Ebony the 2007 Shades of Romance Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards in the following categories: Best Multi-Cultural Fiction Book of the Year of the Year, Best Multi-Cultural Fiction Author of the Year, and Best New Multi-Cultural Fiction Author of the Year.
After a series of physical and emotional setbacks, Ebony took a thirteen-year hiatus from writing. Ebony began a blog, SymplyEbony. Through SymplyEbony, she regained, not only her voice, but her passion for writing.
She picked up an old erotica project, locked herself in her home office, and began writing her comeback novel, Erika’s Diary. Erika’s Diary was self-published in January of 2020 and is the first project published under Metamorphosis Ink. Not long after, Ebony contacted Kobalt Books and Entertainment owner, Cedric Mixon, about regaining the publishing rights to Slow Burn. With no hesitation and no strings attached, Cedric turned over the publishing rights and assisted Ebony with determining the best ways to re-introduce her award-winning novel.
Ebony decided to completely revamp Slow Burn. She made pertinent updates, taking into considerations the changes in technology from 2007 to 2020. She added bonus scenes, new poetry, a new cover and re-released it as Slow Burn: Deluxe Edition.
With restored faith in herself and her writing, Ebony has recently released Orchid’s Nectar, the sequel to Slow Burn: Deluxe Edition and Damian’s Windsor, a loose sequel to Erika’s Diary via Metamorphosis Ink Publishing, LLC.
